Industrial Yarker

Artist Carolyn Butts came to us in 2007 with a project for her client, the Yarker Community Association, who were looking to create something that would help preserve the heritage of the Yarker area for future generations. Carolyn was wondering about the viability of a cast bronze interpretive panel showing Yarker in its industrial hey-days, based off of one of her original sculptures. We worked with Carolyn throughout the process to translate her artistic vision into the end product. The piece depicts and describes Yarker’s important buildings of the time, and also provides information on the formation of the village in general.
